Michael S. Orentlich, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®, CASL®, AEP®
Michael began providing financial services to his clients in 1991 and is the principal and founder of Orentlich Financial Services, LLC. He has built a successful practice that focuses on helping people achieve their financial goals.
Michael completed the Boston University Certified Financial Planning Program and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He earned the CHARTERED LIFE UNDERWRITER, CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT, CHARTERED ADVISOR IN PHILANTHROPY and CHARTERED ADVISOR FOR SENIOR LIVING designations, through the American College. Michael was awarded the ACCREDITED ESTATE PLANNER designation, by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, for his contribution and commitment to the field. He is a LICENSED INSURANCE ADVISER and has particular interest in matters of insurance, risk management, and the many facets of retirement planning.
Michael was an Adjunct Professor at the Boston University Center for Professional Education, where he taught retirement planning and risk management, to CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ candidates, from 2000-2020. In addition, he played a major role in the design and development of Boston University’s Online Program for Financial Planners.
He has been a guest lecturer at Bentley University Graduate School of Business, Boston University School of Law, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. Mike was involved in Baystate Medical Division which partners with Mass Medical Society / PIAM and Mass Hospital Association to work on the unique challenges that face physicians and medical practitioners in today's financial environment.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts. He lives in Florida with his wife and four children.
